VA Partial Claim Program and Updated Loss Mitigation Chapters Published

The VA released the final versions of Chapters 5 (Updated Loss Mitigation) and 22 (New Partial Claim Program) for the VA Manual 26-4, Servicer Handbook on June 1, 2026. These updates, which follow the March 2026 comment period and the July 2026 enactment of H.R. 1815, are now available.

Key dates and implementation details include:

• Training & Office Hours: The initial training session is scheduled for Jun 4, 2026, 2:00 PM EST; advance registration is required;
• Go-Live Date: Both the updated VA Loss Mitigation Waterfall and the VA Partial Claim Program will be live and accessible starting Jun 15, 2026.
• Implementation Timeline: Servicers are granted 180 days from Jun 1, 2026, to achieve full program implementation.
